The disc granulator has the following requirements for raw materials:
1. Particle size requirements: The particle size of the raw materials should be fine and uniform, which is conducive to improving the granulation effect and pelletizing rate. For raw materials with larger particle sizes, they need to be crushed and screened first using organic fertilizer equipment to ensure that the particle size of the materials entering the granulation process is moderate.
2. Humidity requirements: The humidity of the raw materials should be controlled at 20% to 40% to ensure that the materials can be smoothly bonded and formed during the granulation process. If the moisture content of the raw materials is insufficient, an appropriate amount of water can be sprayed or liquid components can be added during the granulation process. If the humidity is high, pre-drying treatment is required.
3. Viscosity requirements: The viscosity of the raw materials should be moderate. They should neither be too thick to cause the materials to adhere to the inner wall of the granulator, nor too loose to be difficult to form. For materials with insufficient viscosity, an appropriate amount of binder can be added to enhance the viscosity and granulation effect of the materials.
4. Impurity requirements: The raw materials should have as few impurities as possible, such as ironware and stones, to avoid damaging the components of the granulator. If the raw materials contain a large amount of impurities, additional screening and pretreatment equipment should be configured to remove the impurities and ensure the purity of the materials.
5. Component requirements: The nutrients in the raw materials should be balanced to ensure the stable quality of the produced organic fertilizer. The disc granulator is suitable for a variety of raw materials, such as livestock and poultry manure, crop straw, mushroom residue, etc., but the granulation process needs to be adjusted according to the specific raw materials.
6. Other requirements: Before entering the granulation stage, all kinds of raw materials must be mixed evenly to ensure that the nutrients in each granule are evenly distributed. For some special raw materials, such as high-moisture materials, mechanical dehydration can be adopted for pretreatment to reduce the moisture content.
