Pelletizing Techniques for a Double Roller Press Granulator

2025/08/12

Pelletizing techniques for a double roller press granualtor primarily include the following:

1. Material Preparation: The moisture content of the material significantly impacts pelletizing efficiency. The optimal moisture content range is typically between 37% and 60%, depending on the material's properties. Adding an appropriate amount of binder to the material can improve pelletizing efficiency. Ensure that the material particle size is within a certain range, typically between 2 and 5 mm, for optimal pelletizing.

2. Equipment Adjustment: Adjust the roller spacing of the double-roller extrusion granulator based on the material's properties and the production requirements of the organic fertilizer production line. Too small a spacing may prevent smooth material flow, while too large a spacing may result in poor pelletizing. Maintaining a clean roller surface with an appropriate degree of roughness promotes pelletizing. New or severely worn rollers require surface treatment or replacement.

3. Operating Techniques: Ensure uniform and continuous material feed to avoid underfeeding or overfeeding, which can affect pelletizing efficiency. Based on the pelletizing yield, prioritize adjusting the briquetting machine speed and extrusion pressure to match the feed rate. During operation, regularly clean any residual material inside the equipment to prevent it from adhering to the rollers and affecting pelletization.

4. Process Optimization: Pre-treat high-humidity materials, such as drying or adding desiccant, to reduce their moisture content. Accumulate operational data and analyze it to optimize the optimal range for parameters such as water addition, feed rate, rotational speed, and extrusion pressure to improve pelletization yield.

The above techniques can effectively enhance the pelletization performance of the double-roll extrusion granulator, improving production efficiency and product quality.
