1. Pellet Shape: A ring film granulator uses a pressure roller to squeeze the material through the die holes of a ring die, forming the material into pellets under pressure. During the granulation process, the material is subjected to compression and shear forces within the ring die, gradually forming pellets with a specific shape.
2. Pellet Density: Parameters such as the die hole aspect ratio and die speed of the ring film granulator have a significant impact on pellet density. A larger die hole aspect ratio increases the compression force on the material within the die hole, resulting in higher pellet density. However, an excessively high die hole aspect ratio may cause the material to slip, which in turn affects pellet formation.
3. Pellet Strength: During the granulation process, compression and shear forces on the material rearrange and bond the molecular structure within the pellets, thereby increasing pellet strength. Furthermore, the pressure and friction between the ring film granulator's pressure roller and the ring die also contribute to pellet strength. 4. Particle Size Distribution: The die aperture size and arrangement of the ring die granulator, as well as the properties of the material, all influence the particle size distribution. By selecting ring dies with different apertures, different particle sizes can be produced.
5. Particle Quality: The structural parameters, operating conditions, and material properties of the ring die granulator all influence particle quality. Proper ring die structural parameters and operating conditions can improve the pellet formation rate and reduce the pellet breakage rate of the organic fertilizer granualtor.
