The difference between double roller press granulator and flat die granulator

2024/01/11

In organic fertilizer production line, double roller press granulator and flat die granulator are two commonly used granulation equipment, which have obvious differences in operation principle, application scope and characteristics.

A double roller press granulator is a device that squeezes material into pellets by the pressure between two rotating rollers. It is suitable for the treatment of less viscous materials, such as livestock manure, biomass waste, etc. The advantage of this equipment is that the production efficiency is high, the output is large, and the fertilizer after forming is hard and corrosion-resistant, which is suitable for large-scale production. The disadvantage is that it may not be adaptable to some specific organic materials.

The flat die granulator is a granulated device made by melting and curing the material at high temperature in the rotating mold. It is suitable for the treatment of viscous materials, such as starch residue, sugar residue and so on. The advantages of this equipment are good molding effect, uniform particle size, and controllable production process. The disadvantage is that the energy consumption of the equipment is high, and the treatment of some raw materials may be difficult.

In practical applications, the selection of organic fertilizer production lines needs to be comprehensively considered according to the nature of raw materials, yield and cost. Generally speaking, for the raw materials with small viscosity, the double roller press granulator is the ideal choice; For raw materials with larger viscosity, the flat die granulator is more suitable. Of course, the specific choice needs to be evaluated and adjusted according to the actual situation.

In short, the double roller press granulator and the mold granulator have their own advantages and scope of application in the organic fertilizer production line, and the choice of the right equipment is crucial to improve production efficiency and product quality.
