Methods to prevent the aging and deformation of belt conveyors

2025/06/09

To effectively prevent the aging and deformation of belt conveyors, the following aspects can be considered:

1. Regular inspection and maintenance: Before starting the machine every day, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the conveyor belt, paying attention to whether there are any damages, scratches or cracks on the surface, especially at the joint parts and the side plates and skirts on both sides of the conveyor belt, to ensure they are intact. It is very important to keep the conveyor belt clean. Regularly remove dust, oil stains and other impurities from the conveyor belt to prevent wear and tear on it. Appropriate lubrication should be carried out on the rollers, bearings and other components related to the conveyor belt to reduce friction and wear and improve the conveying efficiency.

2. Optimize the usage environment: High temperature is one of the main factors causing the aging of conveyor belts. Long-term operation in a high-temperature environment will accelerate the aging of rubber materials, causing the conveyor belt to harden, crack and even fail. The operation of conveyor belts in high-temperature environments should be avoided as much as possible, or cooling measures should be taken in such environments.

3. Reasonable operation and use: During use, avoid overloading. Set the load reasonably according to the specifications and load-bearing capacity of the conveyor belt to prevent damage to the conveyor belt due to overloading. For conveyor belts operating in a humid environment, it is necessary to enhance waterproof and moisture-proof measures, such as installing rain covers and adding drainage facilities, to prevent water from entering and causing the belts to age and mold.

4. Material selection and quality control: High-quality rubber has better heat resistance, cold resistance, oil resistance, ozone resistance and wear resistance, which can effectively extend the service life of conveyor belts.

Through the above measures, the service life of organic fertilizer equipment can be effectively prolonged, the losses caused by aging and deformation can be reduced, and the smooth progress of production can be ensured.
