When selecting the material for a double roller press granualtor roller skin, it's important to consider a variety of factors, including material properties, production requirements, and cost budget. Here are some key points and recommendations:
1. High Hardness: High material hardness effectively resists direct material wear. Suitable for processing hard, abrasive materials such as ore, cement, and compound fertilizer.
2. High Toughness: High-toughness materials offer strong impact hardening and excellent toughness, making them suitable for applications with large impurities and high impact loads (such as ore pelletizing). However, they rely on material impact to achieve hardening, making them susceptible to wear during idling.
3. Corrosion Resistance: Stainless steel (304/316) offers strong corrosion resistance and excellent toughness, making it suitable for applications with corrosive materials (such as chlorine-containing compound fertilizers) but low abrasiveness. However, materials with lower hardness (HRC 15-20) are not suitable for purely high-abrasive conditions.
4. Production Requirements and Cost Budget: For continuous, high-intensity organic fertilizer produciton lines, we recommend choosing tungsten carbide alloy rollers. While the initial investment is higher, it reduces downtime and results in lower overall costs.
6. Maintenance and Care
Regular Inspection and Repair: Check the roller surface for wear weekly, and promptly polish and repair any pits found.
Proper Lubrication and Temperature Control: Use high-temperature resistant grease (such as lithium-based grease) to avoid increased friction between the roller and sleeve due to lubrication failure.
The above recommendations can help you select the most suitable roller material based on your specific production needs and material properties, thereby improving production efficiency, reducing operating and maintenance costs, and extending the life of your fertilizer equipment.
